The Frontier DayZ Servers - Volunteer Staff Application

* All information is private and stored on The Frontier Gaming Servers web host database.  Your information is not nor ever will be made public, sold, or used for anything other than establishing your qualifications as a Frontier Volunteer Staff member.  All normal, daily communications will be through Discord admin channels.

If you love DayZ and how we do things at The Frontier Servers, we welcome staff applications for discord, and ultimately DayZ server admin roles.

All staff are on volunteer basis only and result in no payment or perk in or out of game.  Becoming an admin for The Frontier Servers merely makes you a part of the team and gives you the responsibility to work as well as play :-)

For the purpose of staff applications, your Steam Profile MUST BE PUBLIC permanently or for a period of time while we check you out.  You MUST provide your SteamID 64 (Instructions can be found on our discord channel steamid-64 )

If you are banned on any DayZ servers where the offence breaks any Frontier rules (Base raiding , PvP on PvE, general dickishness/staff disrespect), have any DayZ game bans, BattlEye bans, VAC bans less than 366 days, or any blatantly negative history in gaming or especially in DayZ, you will not be eligible for staff.

Depending on your role, your assigned responsibilities will be Discord moderation, in-game moderation and may ultimately lead to Discord Server Admin and DayZ Server Moderator/Admin status.

Our volunteer staffing structure is tiered and promotions will be made to the next level once trust and experience have been built.

Anyone can leave at any time.  This is purely volunteer.  Misuse of authority, in game tools, external Frontier tools including but not limited to CF Tools, will result in a lifetime ban on The Frontier Servers and the offender will be added to many public ban lists as an Admin Rights Abuser.  Be cool, be safe, be good.

Discord Moderator 

(All Staff Starts Here!)

The Discord Moderator role grants admins the ability to mute members, respond to tickets, respond to messages as a staff member, and other discord read-only permissions.

Discord Admin 

(Promoted once trust is built)

The Discord Admin role grants all rights as a moderator and further grants the staff member to add, remove, and otherwise create content as well as delete messages and ban users from discord.

Server Mod

(Promoted once trust is built and staff member shows aptitude in using admin tools - We provide a private server to hone your skills)

The Server Moderator role grants all rights as Discord Admin and expands to in-game permissions, minimal CF Tools permissions, and access to our private staff training server (Usually just Chernarus, but we can cycle through other maps if necessary or needed).

Server Admin

(Promoted once In-game and tools trust is established)

The Server Admin Role grants all rights as Server Moderator and adds the ability for expanded rights to CF tools and logs including detailed user information and history, heat maps, in-game live maps, and more.

This role comes with great responsibility and requires maturity and discipline.  Server admins will have the ability for in-game teleports for themselves and other players, the ability to spawn or delete some items and more.

Senior Admin

(Promoted once ultimate trust is established)

The Senior Admin Role grants all rights as Server Admin role and adds the ability for full rights to CF tools, full in-game heat map and player positions, as well as the ability to ban, whitelist, or otherwise remove or add players to our ban list.  In addition, in-game permissions to spawn items, build with admin tools, and general control over gameplay and influence on certain file and game settings. Honestly, this role is granted once the exhaustion factor has set in and in-game and discord admin work becomes a bit "old".  It happens to us all, those who say or think otherwise, see you if you last this long!

Special roles and considerations

Admin work isn't for everyone.  Some like to create and have their say in how the server gameplay, loot, special areas, and more are set up.  We will always consider "Developer" style roles if you ultimately just want to build things for the server, develop mods for the server, and more.  This is something we can discuss once Server Admin rank is achieved.

As a final note, no staff role grants the rights or ability to modify the servers directly.  Direct database and server access are and will remain accessible only to the Owner and Primary Server Admin.
